Free Government Grants for Cars: Where to Find Them?

Are you looking to purchase a new car after experiencing a felony conviction?

If so, you’ll want to consider the options that may be available to you thru vehicle grant programs. While there are many grants for felons that include services based on education, most felons need additional assistance in securing housing and transportation as well. While there are few government grants for cars, there are government grants that can help with general living expenses with an option for you to use the funds to purchase a vehicle as you deem necessary. If you are attending school, for example, you can complete a FAFSA form online to determine your financial need for school funding. With a low, or non-existant, income most felons will qualify for a Pell grant which is used to not only pay for your school expenses but then is provided to help with other living expenses, including the purchase of a car. Beyond Pell grants, many felons find grants for purchasing a car through various government programs that are given to local social service organizations. So, if you need a car urgently, and if you have a financial need, check with local social services and/or enroll in school and see what, if any, grants through school you may qualify for.

Using any combination of these funding sources, many people with felony convictions can secure grants and have the car they need to go to school and work when they are accepted into those programs.
